He enjoyed the outdoors. Nor did he care to go swim. In my mind, every animal belongs in certain climates. Malamutes should not have to live in hot climates. This simply is not the right area for that breed. Beautiful dogs. Just wanted ...What a great weekend! Beautiful dogs. Just wanted to let you know that Malamutes are more adaptable than you might think. The key to helping them manage heat is to teach them to swim or at the very least slosh in a wading pool. In the summer heat a wet Malamute is a happy Malamute. They also love air conditioning.
